Free Automation Audit

A focused diagnostic of your automation and testing setup: free, a maximum of 90 minutes of total founder time, and never required before Foundation.

Qualification

Who this is for

The Audit is intended for teams with:

  • An active software product
  • An active release cadence
  • An identifiable testing/release bottleneck
  • A genuine software product

Existing automation and repository access are preferred where available, but existing automation is not mandatory.

Not the right starting point?

If you don't have a live product yet

The Audit is intended to assess an active software product and its testing/release situation. If you do not yet have a live product or an active release cadence, there may not be enough real-world evidence to audit.

In that situation, request a proposal directly so we can discuss the automation foundation you need.

Evidence

What we look at

Preferred evidence includes:

  • Read-only, temporary repository or branch access
  • CI/CD configuration
  • Recent test execution history

Production or live-environment access is never requested for the Audit.

Time boundary

Maximum 90 minutes of total founder time

The audit is deliberately bounded — focused rather than open-ended. This maximum is inclusive of evidence review, report writing, and any clarification call.

Methodology

Four dimensions, scored 1–5

5 is the healthiest state across every dimension:

Deliverable

What you receive

  • Executive summary
  • Overall Automation Health Score
  • Top 3 Findings
  • Four dimension scores
  • Technical findings
  • Prioritized recommendations
  • Recommended next step

The same report structure is used even when available evidence is limited.

What happens next

Possible next steps

Depending on findings, the assessment may recommend:

  • Automation Foundation, new build or rebuild
  • An Automation Ownership retainer, where existing automation is reasonable but unowned
  • Standalone API Automation, when that's the single clearest gap
  • A bounded CI/CD engagement, when that's the isolated gap

These are recommendations, not a mandatory path. You decide what, if anything, to do next.

What it isn't

The Audit does not include

  • Fixing or refactoring your framework
  • Building new automated tests
  • Implementing or configuring CI/CD
  • Manual QA testing
  • Security or performance testing or claims
  • Unlimited follow-up consulting
  • Guaranteed numeric outcomes

A qualified visitor with no meaningful automation may still choose the Audit. Where the need is already clear, you can go directly to Automation Foundation.

Common questions

Audit FAQ

Do I need existing automation to request an audit?

No. A qualified team without meaningful automation may still request an audit if they want an assessment before deciding how to proceed.

Do I need to give you access to production?

No. The preferred evidence is read-only access to relevant automation repositories, CI/CD configuration, and recent execution history.

Will you fix the issues you find?

The Free Audit is diagnostic. It identifies and prioritizes issues rather than fixing them. If implementation is appropriate, the assessment can recommend the next engagement.

How long does the audit take?

The audit is deliberately bounded rather than positioned as an open-ended engagement. Sepivex allocates a maximum of 90 minutes of total founder time to the assessment.

Is the audit required before buying Automation Foundation?

No. If you already know what you need, you can request a Foundation proposal directly.
