Automation Foundation
Build or rebuild your test automation as a defined, fixed-price engagement: a maintainable system your team owns and can rely on.
New Build and Rebuild — one service, two situations
- Teams starting automation from zero
- Teams with stalled automation
- Teams whose existing automation needs a meaningful rebuild
New Build and Rebuild are two situations covered by one service, not separate products.
Automation Foundation
Starting at $3,500
Includes
- Framework setup
- Page Object Model
- Fixtures
- Custom commands / utilities
- 10–15 critical automated tests
- Standard-tier CI/CD integration
You own what's built
The client owns the resulting automation work product, including:
- Produced test code
- Framework architecture
- Applicable CI/CD configuration
Third-party tools, frameworks, and licenses remain subject to their own ownership/licensing terms. Sepivex uses standard, non-proprietary tooling and does not create proprietary lock-in.
When scope needs a custom quote
Custom quoting may apply to:
- Complex or legacy environments
- Work beyond the 10–15 critical-test base scope
- API automation beyond the base scope
- Multi-environment or enterprise CI/CD requirements
- Significant requirements outside the standard Foundation scope
Custom quoting is scoping, not a default hourly model.
Stabilization and ongoing support
After Foundation, there's typically a 2–4 week stabilization period before a formal ongoing retainer relationship begins.
Ongoing support is optional. A Foundation client may move into a retainer after stabilization if ongoing maintenance, ownership, or engineering support is appropriate.
Foundation FAQ
Is the Free Automation Audit required first?
No. If you already know you need a new automation foundation or rebuild, you can request a proposal directly.
Does the $3,500 price include everything?
It covers the standard Foundation scope described on this page. Projects involving significant complexity or requirements beyond that scope may require a custom quote.
Is API automation included?
API automation is not automatically included in the standard Foundation scope. If API automation is a significant requirement, it can be scoped appropriately based on the project.
Will we own the automation?
Yes. The produced test code, framework architecture, and applicable CI/CD configuration are client-owned.
Do we have to continue with Sepivex afterward?
No. The Foundation is a standalone engagement. Ongoing support is optional.
